Job summary

General Equipment & Supplies, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Data Entry Specialist to support the accounting team in accurately and timely processing of accounts receivable transactions.

You will apply cash receipts and clean up accounts per credit department instructions while collaborating with the Customer Finance Manager to ensure proper application. The position offers a pay range of $19/hr to $22/hr DOE, with a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and 401k.

Qualifications

• Two-year business degree (preferably accounting) or equivalent work experience.
• High proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Strong keyboarding and 10-key skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, at all levels.
• Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate entry of receivable entries.
• Issue sales tax corrections when necessary.
• Assist with audits pertaining to receivables.

• Maintain OneNote and update as changes occur.
• Identify process improvements and discuss with management.

Job description

The Accounting Data Entry Specialist supports the accounting department through the accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable transactions. This role is responsible for cash receipt application and account clean up per credit department’s instructions. The position works closely with credit department and Customer Finance Manager to ensure proper application.

Pay Range: $19/hr to $22/hr DOE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure timely and accurate entry of various forms of receivable entries
• Issue Sales Tax corrections when necessary
• Assists with quarterly and annual audits pertaining to receivables
• Assists with invoice entry in accounts payable multiple companies
• OneNote kept updated as changes occur
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the position and discuss with manager for future implementation
• Performs other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
