Accounting Coordinator, Unclaimed Property

This role involves researching unclaimed financial property for providers, customers, and members. Responsibilities include updating spreadsheets monthly with stale dated checks, researching check information, resolving inquiries from employees, vendors, and providers, and assisting management with projects.

1. Retrieve journal entries credited and debited to unclaimed property liability accounts monthly.
2. Add supporting documentation for transactions posted to unclaimed property accounts.
3. Retrieve cash analysis data and compare credits and debits with journal entries from Finance.
4. Enter check information into unclaimed property spreadsheets monthly, updating based on transaction details.
5. Complete RITA tickets to request check information from Data Warehouse or MHC Informatics.
6. Enter check information into spreadsheets.
7. Assist with due diligence letters and responses for unclaimed property.

Other Job Requirements

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with a customer service attitude.
• Ability to deal professionally with vendors and internal customers.
• Intermediate or advanced Excel skills, including formulas, data analysis tools, and pivot tables.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to learn new software easily.
