Finance & Accounting Coordinator - Central LA, onsite Monday-Thursday
The Finance & Accounting Coordinator supports the daily financial operations of a fast-paced entertainment business, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely processing across accounting, reporting, and production-related finance activities. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities within a creative, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day AP and AR processing, including invoice coding, vendor setup, payment runs, expense reimbursements, and credit card reconciliations
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedules
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, contracts, and production documents
- Track and process production-related expenses, petty cash, and POs, ensuring compliance with internal controls
- Assist with forecasting and budget tracking for projects, events, or productions
- Prepare weekly and monthly reporting, including cost tracking, revenue summaries, and variance analysis
- Liaise with internal teams (production, marketing, operations) to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies
- Support year-end audit requests and other compliance requirements
- Research and resolve vendor inquiries, payment issues, and coding questions
- Assist with ad hoc analysis, financial modeling support, and special projects as needed
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience; entertainment experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with internal teams and external vendors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative culture with shifting priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
