Job summary

Quality Engineering & Surveying, LLC is seeking an accomplished accounting leader to direct financial operations in a project-driven environment. The role demands CPA-level expertise in financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls to maximize profitability across projects.

The ideal candidate will lead the accounting team, partner with project managers, and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and tax coordination.

Qualifications

• 7+ years progressive accounting experience with leadership.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting.
• Proven track record building and guiding accounting teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active Louisiana CPA preferred.
• Experience in AEC, engineering, or project-based accounting.
• Experience with Deltek Ajera or similar ERP.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations, including general ledger, billing, payroll coordination, project accounting, and month-end close.
• Provide financial statements, forecasts, cash flow projections, dashboards, and management reporting.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial analysis, and performance reviews.
• Partner with project managers to improve profitability, monitor WIP, manage budgets, and identify financial risks.
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, compliance programs, audits, and tax coordination.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team while improving systems, reporting tools, and workflows.]

Quality Engineering and Surveying is seeking an accomplished accounting professional to lead our financial operations and support continued growth in a project-driven environment. The successful candidate will bring CPA-level expertise in financial reporting, cash flow management, internal controls, and tax compliance, along with the ability to partner effectively with project managers and leadership teams to maximize project and company profitability.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations, including general ledger, billing, payroll coordination, project accounting, and month-end close.
• Provide financial statements, forecasts, cash flow projections, dashboards, and management reporting.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial analysis, and performance reviews.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active Louisiana CPA preferred.
• Meaningful business tax experience.
• AEC, engineering, consulting, professional services, or project-based accounting experience.
• Experience with Deltek Ajera or similar ERP systems.
