Job summary

Metalico- is seeking an Accounting Clerk responsible for coordinating invoice and payment processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting multiple locations. You will work with site controllers and scale operators to ensure accurate financial reporting, inventory reconciliation, and compliance with company policies and audit requirements across Youngstown and Akron facilities.

The role emphasizes AP management, inventory accounting, data entry, and month-end closings.

Qualifications

• Understanding of accounts payable and inventory control.
• 2–4 years in an accounting department or an associates degree preferred.
• Proficient with Excel and MS Office tools; experience with AP and inventory accounting.
• Familiarity with general ledger coding and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage invoices, credits, and related documentation.
• Balance and post scale and ATM cash for multiple locations.
• Prepare month-end reports and assist financial closing activities.
• Maintain tax spreadsheets and reconcile accounts payable statements.
• Collaborate with operations to reconcile inventory balances with physical counts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
