Job summary

Metalico is seeking an Accounting Clerk to coordinate and improve invoice and payment processes, maintain inventory accuracy, and support multiple locations with compliant financial reporting. You will work closely with site controllers and scale operators to ensure accurate cash handling, AP processing, and inventory reconciliation across Youngstown and Akron facilities.

The role requires 2–4 years in accounting, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of AP and inventory accounting.

Qualifications

• Core understanding of AP and inventory control.
• 2–4 years in an accounting department preferred.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and MS Office experience.
• Experience with AP and inventory accounting.
• Knowledge of general ledger coding and data entry.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage all invoices, credits, and related docs.
• Maintain invoices that auto-pull or require payment.
• Balance and post scale and ATM transactions for multiple sites.
• Research discrepancies on daily cash reconciliation.
• Prepare month-end reports and assist with closing activities.
• Reconcile accounts payable statements and aging reports.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts.
• Coordinate with operations to improve processes and data integrity.
