Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of work experience in accounting is required.
  • Experience with MS Office and proficiency in Excel is essential.

The ideal candidate will need experience in accounts payable, Income Audit, and General Cashier. This position will oversee the day-to-day responsibilities together with the Staff Accountant to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable
    • Process and ensure all invoices have a PO attached for approval.
    • Review vendor statements to ensure invoices are in the Procurement and Accounting system.
    • Ensure all invoices are in the Checkbook.
    • Transfer invoices from the Procurement System to the accounting system and ensure all invoices transfer properly.
    • Ensure check envelopes are made and mailed on time according to the payment process schedule.
  • Income Audit
    • Supervise the accuracy verification of Front Office, Food and Beverage and other revenue center activities.
    • Oversee review of adjustments, paid-outs and miscellaneous charges to ensure appropriateness and conformity to established procedure, initiate correction where necessary, and report deviations to management.
    • Ensure submittal of all allowance vouchers to appropriate management for review and approval.
    • Prepare Daily report.
  • General Cashier
    • Open and verify cash “drop” envelopes from outlets and Front Desk.
    • Prepare and distribute the various reports to outlet managers, Front Desk, and Accounting.
    • Audit house banks as per schedule.
    • Prepare paperwork for bank deposit at prescribed time(s).
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Assist in billing for all AR accounts.
    • Review and checkout Posting Masters (PM’s) on a daily basis.
    • Review Open Folios on a daily basis.
    • Be able to bill special accounts using Excel.

Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years work experience in accounting
  • Must be able to work productively with little direction or supervision
  • Must have experience working with MS Office (proficient in Excel)
  • The ability to ensure that hotel policies and brand standards are followed
  • Maintaining positive relationships with Team Members
