Job description

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join ourcollaborative team!

The Accounting Clerk will have the following schedule:

  • Monday- Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Overtime as required.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Monitor bank accounts and reconcile transactions
  • Manage and respond to high-volume emails and internal inquiries
  • Review sales reports and resolve invoice issues
  • Post and reconcile Sales Invoices and Cash Entries
  • Perform background matching and transaction validation

Accounts Payable & Vendor Coordination:

  • Review and process vendor invoices; resolve discrepancies (pricing, shipping, charges)
  • Communicate with vendors and internal teams to address billing issues
  • Process weekly/monthly payments via check or credit card
  • Manage check writing, remittance, mailing, and filing

Month-End & Financial Reporting:

  • Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare journal entries (refunds, payroll, sales tax, etc.)
  • Support month-end close (approx. 20–28 hours/month)
  • Submit monthly Use Tax payments

Administrative & Support Duties:

  • Send invoices and manage Net 30 billing cycles
  • Complete customer vendor forms and financial documentation
  • Post incoming checks and process customer payments
  • Handle billing inquiries, refunds, and account issues with reps
  • Monitor shipping accounts (UPS/FedEx) and resolve discrepancies

Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintain AP inbox for customer updates
  • Periodically check fax machine and assist with product creation
  • Support ad hoc financial and operational needs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or associate's degree in accounting or related field

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrate good attendance and arrive on time to work
