Job summary

Energy Transfer LP is offering a 12-week Accounting Automation Internship starting May 2027. The program pairs interns with mentors, exposes them to real-world projects, and connects commercial strategy with operational execution.

You will support automation initiatives across accounting workflows and analytics. Ideal for students pursuing degrees in Accounting, Finance, IS, or related fields, with interest in automation, SAP experience a plus, and strong Excel/PowerPoint/Word skills.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
Strong interest in accounting systems, automation, or process improvement.
Basic understanding of accounting principles (SAP experience a plus).
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving and organizational skills.
Curious and eager to learn how technology drives efficiency in finance and accounting.

Responsibilities

Document existing (as-is) accounting processes and map to-be automated workflows.
Identify and document business requirements for automation projects.
Test and troubleshoot automation builds in tools such as Redwood RunMyFinance, Alteryx, Ui-Path, and SAP.
Monitor automation performance and report issues or improvement opportunities.
Create training materials and user guides for new automated processes.
Coordinate with IT and Accounting to ensure automations meet system and business needs.
Propose ideas to simplify and improve processes via technology.
