Job summary

CJD is seeking a hands-on accounting professional in Rahway, NJ to support day-to-day financial operations for a rapidly growing consulting and installation organization. You will manage essential processes and help ensure accurate reporting across projects.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in AP, AR, and GL reconciliations, a solid grasp of GAAP, and advanced Excel skills. NetSuite experience is a plus, with a culture that rewards initiative and growth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AP, AR and GL reconciliations.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and involvement with job costing/billing.
• Advanced Excel for reporting and data reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Manage core accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including vendor invoices and customer collections.
• Support job billing, project accounting, and cost tracking for accurate financial reporting across active projects.
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
• Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end/year-end closing per GAAP.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve accounting and billing inquiries promptly.
• Identify opportunities to improve daily accounting processes and streamline reporting as the business grows.
