Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Division Accountant to record, analyze, and monitor financial information with GAAP discipline. You will prepare monthly and quarterly reports and support internal controls, audits, and budgeting cycles.

The role requires 2+ years in finance, solid accounting software experience, and the ability to work across teams in a fast-paced environment. On-site location in Rahway, NJ with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in the Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Strong GAAP knowledge is required.
• CPA designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and documents; assist with monthly/quarterly reports.
• Support internal controls and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and company policies.
• Reconciling balance sheets and analyzing financial statements per GAAP and policy.
• May assist in managing accounting staff and directing accounting functions as needed.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes; assist with analytical reviews.
• Assist with accounting aspects of capital expenditures, transfers and retirements.
• Support audits and respond to information requests from corporate and regional management.
