Job summary

MaxLite, located in Pine Brook, NJ, seeks an Accounting Associate to support daily accounting operations within our Finance team. This on-site role covers vendor invoice processing, reconciliations, GL postings, customer credits, and routine financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in accounting/finance and 1–3 years of related experience, with strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or related financial administration experience.
• Basic understanding of GL, AP, and bank reconciliation procedures.
• Experience with ERP systems and adaptability to software platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process vendor invoices with GL coding and timely payment.
• Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate payments.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and record banking transactions.
• Prepare and post GL journal entries for operating transactions.
• Support month-end close, reconciliations, and records maintenance.
• Process customer credits, rebates, and adjustments in coordination with Sales/Finance.
• Assist with monthly sales commission reporting and related payments.
• Maintain petty cash with replenishment and proper documentation.
• Prepare quarterly state reports and respond to inquiries with procedures.
