Job summary

Polish National Credit Union is seeking an accounting professional in Massachusetts to join our team. We require 2–5 years in a credit union or similar financial setting and a solid grounding in accounting principles.

You will handle GL reconciliation, AP, fixed assets, and month-end close with audits, while applying MS Office skills and Oracle Accounting Platform knowledge. The role emphasizes accuracy, discretion, and teamwork in a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and post adjusting entries.
• Assist Accounts Payable functions including processing invoices.
• Perform monthly fixed asset additions and depreciation.
• Assist in month-end close process and audits.
• Prepare year-end reporting (1099s, withholding reporting, sales tax).
• Assist in call report preparation and/or review.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate and resolve errors and post adjusting entries.
• Assist and support the Accounts payable functions including preparing check requests, maintaining vendor files and processing invoices in on-line AP System.
• Perform monthly fixed asset additions and depreciation (includes prepaid expenses).
• Assist in month-end close process.
• Assist in internal and external audits.
• Perform year end reporting, including 1099s, withholding reporting, sales tax reporting, and other required filings.
• Assist in call report preparation and/or review.
• Represent the credit union in a courteous, professional and positive manner.
• Responsible for compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, as well as credit union policies and procedures.
