IMEG is seeking an Accounting Associate - Accounts Payable in Rock Island, IL to process vendor payments and cash receipts, maintain data entry accuracy, and safeguard confidential information for the firm and clients.

You will collaborate with staff, vendors, AR and TFA teams to resolve invoicing issues, ensure timely payments, and keep payment records organized. Requires attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• 2 years post-high school education or high school diploma.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Deltek-Vantagepoint is preferred.
• 5 years of office or accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with staff and vendors on invoicing issues.
• Issue accurate and timely payments to vendors.
• Prepare vendor invoices for BOT processing.
• Prepare client invoices in Therefore for bot processing of cash receipts.
• Research files and computer reports to resolve vendor complaints for non-payment.
• Process payments to vendors with AP checks or ACH payments.
• Ensure payment is received for outstanding invoices.
• Work with AR and TFA staff on receipt inquiries.
• File check images and records of payment as file back-up.
• Maintain confidentiality of all corporate, personnel and project/client/vendor related material.

IMEG is hiring an Accounting Associate - Accounts Payable in Rock Island, IL. This role is responsible for processing vendor payments and cash receipts while supporting accurate data entry, invoicing, and the handling of confidential information for the company and clients.

State of Illinois Salary Range: $45,000-$55,000 per year

The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations, the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location. Individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
