Job summary

AquaTerra Outdoors in Carrollton, TX is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our team. You will help maintain accurate financial records and support both accounting and operations across AR, AP, and contracts.

Requirements include 3+ years in accounting and strong QuickBooks Enterprise skills; BuilderTrend experience is a plus. This on-site role offers professional growth and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong experience using QuickBooks Enterprise and/or (Desktop).
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with BuilderTrend or similar project management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting and operations by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring processes run efficiently.
• Accounts Receivable: prepare and distribute client invoices; record payments and processing fees; process remote deposits.
• Contract Administration: send contracts through DocuSign or Adobe Sign; set up new projects in QuickBooks and BuilderTrend.
• Accounts Payable & Banking: process vendor payments; assist with 1099 preparation; maintain loan schedules; perform reconciliations; maintain Positive Pay records.
• Financial & Accounting Support: assist with month-end/year-end closing; support financial reporting and budgeting; prepare commission/sales reports; assist audits and tax documentation; maintain fixed assets; support retirement plan administration.
• Administrative Support: maintain organized accounting files; respond to inquiries; process accounting mail; assist with bank communications; handle special projects.
