Job summary

VMRD, Inc. in Pullman, WA is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the Finance Director with daily, weekly, and month-end financial activities.

You will manage AR/AP, payroll, and tax duties, help with reconciliations, and maintain records with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Ideal candidates have 2+ years bookkeeping and 1+ years payroll experience, plus familiarity with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.

• 2+ years bookkeeping experience
• 1+ years payroll experience
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system
• Ability to handle confidential information in a work environment

Responsibilities

• Process AR and AP daily, including research to properly code transactions
• Review payroll transactions for accuracy with employees and supervisors
• Communicate with customers on past due invoices
• Review sales tax transactions for accuracy and ensure filings with state agencies are correct
• Post inventory transactions in the accounting system
• Prepare and complete reconciliations of multiple financial accounts
• Maintain all records and file systems
• Other duties as assigned
