Job summary

Straub Automotive Group in Triadelphia, WV is hiring an Accounting Assistant to join our busy business office.

If you are organized and detail-oriented, you will process deposits and invoices, perform reconciliations, and help with filing while delivering excellent service.

This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with full benefits and growth opportunities; dealership experience and MS Office proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, AP, or AR preferred.
• Dealership software experience is a plus.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process and post daily deposits and invoices.
• Reconcile accounts, vendor statements, and credit card statements.
• Maintain manufacturer records and related MSO documents.
• Set up vendor records and process warranty cancellations.
• Assist with digital and paper filing and general office duties.
• Provide backup at the rental desk and deliver strong customer service.
• Support the accounting team with additional projects.

What You’ll Do

• Deposits & Invoices: Process and post daily bank deposits and invoices.
• Reconciliations: Reconcile accounts, vendor statements, and credit card statements.
• MSO Books: Maintain Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin records.
• Vendors & Warranty: Set up vendor records and process warranty cancellations.
• Filing & Office Support: Assist with digital and paper filing and general office duties.
• Rental Desk Backup: Step in at the rental desk when needed and deliver great customer service.
• Team Support: Help the accounting team with additional projects.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Accounting, bookkeeping, AP, or AR experience preferred. Dealership software experience is a plus, but not required.
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines.
• Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• People Skills: Excellent communication and customer service.
• Work Style: Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
• Driving Record: Valid driver’s license.
