Oneida ESC Group seeks an Accounting Assistant in Milwaukee, WI on a Hybrid Schedule. The role focuses on invoicing, accounts receivable, and billing procedures to support our engineering, science and construction services ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Accounting or Finance and 0–2 years in accounting or billing, with strong Excel skills and excellent communication. Benefits include PTO, holidays, retirement plan, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• Experience: 0–2 years in accounting or billing preferred; government contracts a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process client invoices for different contract types.
• Apply cash receipts to customer accounts and ensure accurate posting.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with clients on outstanding balances.
• Maintain organized billing and collection records.
• Support other finance-related tasks as needed, including data entry and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process client invoices for different contract types.
• Apply cash receipts to customer accounts and ensure accurate posting.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with clients on outstanding balances.
• Maintain organized billing and collection records.
