Job summary

Green Thumb Accounting in Boulder, CO is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to support growth this year. You will handle mainly bookkeeping for the remainder of the year and transition to a mix of bookkeeping and data-entry for tax returns from February through April.

Initial training will occur at the Boulder office, after which you’ll work from home. You can set your own hours, with a weekly availability day for project needs, and there is openness to training the right person.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping and basic tax data entry work.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Drake Tax Software.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to use cloud storage tools.

Responsibilities

• Handle bookkeeping for the rest of the year.
• Split time between bookkeeping and data-entry for tax returns February–April.
• Complete initial training sessions at the Boulder office, then work from home.

Job description

I provide bookkeeping & tax services for small business in Colorado, and I'm looking for help as I plan my next stage of growth over the year. You will handle mostly bookkeeping throughout the rest of the year, and then split time between books and data entry into tax returns from February through April.

Initial training for a few sessions would happen at my office in Boulder, after which you will work from home. Ideally you have your own equipment (dual monitor setup), but I am willing to provide. You can set your own hours for the most part, and I will want to set a day each week where I know you are available should I need you to jump into a particular project. I'm open to training the right person.

I'm also looking for a business partner or two, and hope I can give you the option of full time down the road if there's enough work between us.
