Job summary

A global leader in insurance and risk management is seeking an Accounting and Reporting Specialist for the Captive Operations Group. This role involves various accounting activities, preparation of financial statements, and ensuring compliance. We are looking for talented and motivated candidates based in Warsaw for the position of:

Accounting and Reporting Specialist
(Captive Operations Group)

What can you expect?

In the Captive Operations Group, we handle accounting, regulatory compliance, and administrative functions for a portfolio of captive insurance companies and other clients.

We will count on you to:

  • Perform various accounting activities such as cash and investment account reconciliations, bank deposits, cash disbursements, intercompany reconciliations, asset valuations, and claims activity tracking
  • Prepare financial statements for mid-sized clients based on IFRS
  • Plan and execute annual audits for clients
  • Prepare regulatory filings
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with domicile insurance regulations
  • Maintain client and office databases
  • Investigate outstanding issues on client accounts and communicate with clients as needed

What you need to have:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in finance or auditing
  • MA or BA degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Excellent command of English (minimum B2)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas and data analysis)
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • An open mindset towards change and continuous improvement

What makes you stand out:

  • Prior accounting experience in an accounting firm, insurance company, or FSI audit
  • ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualification or part-qualified
