Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks an Accounting Analyst to review AP/AR reconciliations and collaborate across our global Finance organization to analyze financial results and reinforce strong accounting fundamentals. A typical day includes journal entries, account analyses, and month-end close tasks, with budget and projection support.

The role requires a bachelor's in accounting/finance/MIS or related field, Excel proficiency, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Excel.
• Knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and work cooperatively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform journal entries, account analyses, workpapers, AP/AR reconciliations, and assist with month-end close tasks.
• Prepare analyses of financial data for management review.
• Prepare and assist with budgets, projections, product cost analyses, and other analyses with recommendations to management; assist with internal controls documentation.
• Assist with research and planning according to GAAP and current tax laws.
