Job summary

L&M Corrugated Container Corporation is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support our accounting operations with a focus on accounts receivable and broader accounting analysis. The role blends AR duties (about 30%) with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close responsibilities in a growing, family-owned manufacturing environment.

You’ll invoice customers, apply cash receipts, monitor aging, and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ERP system experience a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting operations with a blend of accounts receivable work and general accounting analysis.
• Apply incoming cash receipts and reconcile customer accounts; generate and distribute invoices.
• Monitor AR aging and follow up on past-due balances; research billing discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations; support month-end and year-end close.

What You'll Do

As the Accounting Analyst, you’ll support day‑to‑day accounting operations with a blend of accounts receivable work and general accounting analysis.

Accounts Receivable (approximately 30% of role)

• Apply incoming cash receipts and reconcile customer accounts
• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past‑due balances
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes
• Support credit memo processing and customer account maintenance

Accounting Analyst (approximately 70% of role)

• Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation
• Support internal controls, audit requests, and process improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data
• Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ERP system experience a plus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills, including comfort following up with customers
• Manufacturing, packaging, distribution, or business‑to‑business industry experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
