Job summary

Macquarie is seeking an accounting professional to support the Commodities and Global Markets Finance team in Jacksonville. The role involves hands-on review of subsystem postings, month-end close and intercompany clearing, with collaboration across business units and external partners.

You will be responsible for accurate ledger data across Reporting, Tax and analytics, and for applying posting rules within the chart of accounts to various trading desks.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of reconciliation and attestation of balances.
• Completeness and accuracy of ledger data for Reporting/Tax/LEC and analytics.
• Develop strong understanding of chart of accounts and posting rules for different desks.
• Identification and resolution of breaks and related reporting.
• Strong understanding of financial products and their accounting.

Responsibilities

• Review sub-system posting positions, month-end close, intercompany breaks clearing and suspense clearing.
• Engage with business teams and external stakeholders and escalate issues as needed.

Join our Commodities and Global Markets Finance team and play a key role which includes a mix of delivery responsibilities and process ownership. Functionally, you will be expected to be very hands‑on and aware of the businesses you are supporting.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in our office location.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will utilize your accounting knowledge in the review of sub‑system posting positions, month‑end close, intercompany breaks clearing and suspense clearing. In addition, you will engage with the business teams and external stakeholders, as well as demonstrate the ability to independently deal with and resolve issues with appropriate escalation.

What you offer

• Ideally 3-7 years of reconciliation and attestation of balances - process, outcomes, breaks and resolution of issues
• Completeness and accuracy of ledger data for Reporting / Tax / LEC and Analytical requirements
• Developing strong understanding of chart of accounts and the posting rules set up for different desk based on the nature of the products traded
• Identification and resolution of breaks and related reporting
• Strong understanding of financial products (Futures, Bonds, Cash Equities etc.) and their accounting.
