Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst to join the finance team in a California-based role. You will analyze financial results, support month-end close, and work with operations to monitor manufacturing expenses, while ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 4+ years of accounting or financial analysis, and preferably a CPA.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience.
• CPA designation is preferred but not required.

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst to join its finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally, support key financial reporting processes, and contribute to operational and accounting initiatives that drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial results, costs, variances, and trends, providing recommendations and insights to leadership.
• Partner with operational teams to review and monitor monthly manufacturing and production-related expenses.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Prepare accruals and other journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Complete detailed balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support annual audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
• Assist with tax-related reporting and filing requirements.
• Develop ad hoc financial analyses and reports to support decision‑making across the business.
• Help strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with technology and systems teams to enhance accounting processes and reporting capabilities.
• Stay informed on accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Participate in special projects and other finance initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including: Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, Conditional Formatting, Data Validation, Large dataset analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Ability to communicate financial information effectively to management and cross‑functional teams.
• Comfortable preparing reports, presenting findings, and supporting business decisions through data analysis.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience.
• CPA designation is preferred but not required.
