Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC seeks a Senior Accountant to join a growing team at a well-established private investment firm. You will manage accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and support a portfolio of entities.

Reporting to accounting leadership, you will lead month-end close, assist with audits, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive process improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Perform cash management and bank reconciliations.
• Support annual audits and tax preparation activities.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash transactions.
• Prepare financial and compliance reporting.
• Maintain accounting systems and ensure data accuracy.
• Support special projects and ad hoc requests.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls.

This role reports to accounting leadership and will be responsible for managing accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting a portfolio of entities.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Perform cash management and bank reconciliations
• Support annual audits and tax preparation activities
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash transactions
• Prepare financial and compliance reporting
• Maintain accounting systems and ensure data accuracy
• Support special projects and ad hoc requests
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
