Job summary

MSH is seeking an Accounting Administrator for a busy new-car dealership in the Aventura / North Miami Beach area. In this hands-on role you’ll own the store’s day-to-day accounting, work closely with the controller and assistant controller, and help keep clean schedules and precise books for long-term stability.

You’ll manage daily accounting operations, bank reconciliations, schedules, cash handling, and postings, with a focus on accuracy in a high-volume office.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of accounting experience; dealership accounting preferred.
• Hands-on bank reconciliation and schedule reconciliation experience.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Detail-oriented, organized and comfortable in a high-volume office.
• Strong AP, AR or general accounting candidates considered.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client is an established, family-owned automotive group with franchised dealerships up and down the East Coast. They are hiring an Accounting Administrator for a busy new-car dealership in the Aventura / North Miami Beach area. You'll own the store's day-to-day accounting and work closely with the controller and assistant controller. It's a hands-on role for someone who likes clean schedules and takes ownership of the books. The group prefers to promote from within, so this is a real long-term seat.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee daily operations of the dealership accounting office
• Manage day-to-day transaction processing
• Maintain cash and credit card clearing schedules
• Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile dealership schedules, including researching and correcting missing or misposted items
• Post daily banking transactions and process daily deposits
• Manage petty cash
• Work factory receivables and payables
• Serve as backup for banking and support the controller on special projects and month-end

What We’re Looking For

• 1-5 years of accounting experience. Dealership accounting experience within the last few years is strongly preferred.
• CDK experience preferred (Reynolds & Reynolds or another dealership DMS is also welcome)
• Hands‑on bank reconciliation and schedule reconciliation experience
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Detail-oriented, organized and comfortable in a high-volume office
• Strong AP, AR or general accounting candidates with reconciliation experience will also be considered
