Job summary

Allegiant in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking an Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to assist in day-to-day operations of the Corporate Accounting Department. You will facilitate vendor communications and maintain confidentiality and integrity in all tasks.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and one year of AP/AR experience, with Excel proficiency a plus. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US and pass a background check. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Process payables or receivables in accordance with GAAP using data entry.
• Work with all areas of the organization to ensure proper coding and handling of invoices.
• Ensure proper documentation and verify approval/authorization limits.
• Work with vendors to resolve discrepancies and any other issues that may arise.
• Match & mail accounts payable checks.
• Account reconciliation.
• Cash application and reconciliation.
• General Ledger posting journal entries and month end close.
• Gather vendor information for 1099 processing.
• Maintain files, including filing of general ledger journal vouchers, accounts payable/receivable documentation and other miscellaneous filings.
• Answer and direct incoming departmental calls appropriately.
• Other duties as assigned.
