Job summary

Jackson State Community College in Jackson, TN invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor in Accounting (Pool). The position is responsible for delivering quality instruction using integrative technologies and may include evening, off-campus, and distance-based courses. A Master’s degree in Accounting or related field with at least eighteen graduate credit hours in Accounting is required.

Collegiate teaching experience is preferred. Pay rate is $600 per credit hour.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting or related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Accounting.
• Accredited institution.
• Experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses on-ground as assigned; evenings, off-campus, and distance-based courses may be required.
• Post grades during the term and submit final grades by deadlines.
• Complete required trainings and reports; inform Chair/Dean if unable to teach a class; attend requested meetings.
• Regularly check JSCC email and departmental mailbox; respond within 48 hours.
• Submit or update syllabi at least two weeks before class starts or within seven days of contract.
