Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in History or related field with at least eighteen (18) graduate credit hours in History.
• Collegiate level teaching experience preferred.
• Availability to teach in person, during the day, and at various Jackson State locations.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses on ground; evening, off-campus, and distance-based courses as required.
• Post grades during term and submit final grades by Registrar deadlines.
• Complete required trainings and reports; inform Chair/Dean if unable to teach.
• Check JSCC email and departmental mailbox; respond within 48 hours.
• Submit syllabus updates at least 2 weeks before first class day or within seven days of contract.
