Job summary

Sinclair Community College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach accounting courses face-to-face at the Courseview Campus in Mason, Ohio. Morning and afternoon options on Mondays and Wednesdays are available. Starting pay is $1,016 per credit hour assigned to teach.

This position is restricted to residents of Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky or those able to work in these states. Open to applicants with a master’s in accounting or related credentials.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accounting or MBA with 18 graduate accounting hours required.
• Teaching experience in higher education preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for a community college environment.
• Proficiency with modern educational technology and multimedia instruction.

Responsibilities

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all sections in accordance with policies.
• Employ teaching strategies and instructional technology as appropriate.
• Modify methods to meet diverse student needs and promote success.
• Evaluate and return work timely and maintain records and grades.
