Renown Health in Reno, Nevada, seeks a detail-oriented accountant to manage journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses of general ledger accounts within our finance team. The role includes preparing budgets, the five-year financial plan, and supporting the annual financial audit, working with internal customers to resolve issues and strengthen controls.
A 3-year accounting background and healthcare exposure are preferred, with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
This position is responsible for preparing the journal entries, reconciliations and analyses of general ledger amounts, financial statements, and related schedules of his/her assigned entities. This position is involved in the preparation of schedules for the annual budget, five-year financial plan, and the financial audit where applicable.
The major challenges of this position are to work with his/her customers in response to financial issues; determine the source of problems and establish controls and monitoring systems that ensure accurate record keeping; to effectively institute change as directed; to operate within the time pressure of deadlines; and to respond to customers in a timely and effective manner. Other related duties and overtime may be required.

Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education:
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university, or related equivalent experience. Health care experience is desirable.
Experience:
Minimum three years of general accounting experience.
