Job summary

Our client in downtown Phoenix is seeking to hire an Accountant to add to their hybrid team. In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting operations including month-end close activities, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and weekly management fee processing while also assisting with an ongoing project to document accounting processes and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Concatenate, and Pivot Tables.
• 100% on-site work until trained (approx 3 months).

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close process and prepare related journal entries
• Maintain accruals and prepaid expense schedules
• Maintain depreciation schedules and record related entries
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Research and resolve account discrepancies and reconciling items
• Process weekly management fee batches
• Audit, review, and post management fee transactions
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation related to management fees
• Review key accounting processes and identify areas for improvement
• Meet with accounting staff to document step-by-step accounting workflows
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Support special accounting projects and additional operational initiatives as needed
