Job summary

United Community & Family Services, Inc. seeks an Accountant to support the finance department with general ledger activity, reconciliations, financial reporting, and operational accounting processes.

The role includes month-end and year-end close and assisting in financial statements and KPI preparation. Candidates should have an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and at least 4 years of progressive accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and year-end close processes and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform account reconciliations (cash, bank accounts, prepaids, deferred revenue, other balance sheet accounts).
• Record and reconcile cash activity including bank deposits and transactions.
• Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Support development and reporting of KPIs.
