Texas State University is seeking a senior accounting professional to manage critical financial operations and reporting. The role oversees state appropriations, cash and investment accounting, and year-end AFR preparation, ensuring GAAP and state compliance across systems.
The candidate will lead monthly closings, develop financial metrics, and collaborate with internal and external partners. Strong Excel skills, CPA credential, and ERP experience are required.

Job Description
Performs advanced, professional accounting functions that support the integrity of the university’s financial reporting and accounting operations. Responsible for state appropriations, cash and investment accounting activities, including oversight of daily payment processing, reconciliation of financial data between the university’s general ledger and the Uniform Statewide Accounting System ( USAS ), and participation in year-end financial reporting for the Annual Financial Report ( AFR ). Ensures compliance with governmental GAAP , State of Texas requirements, and other applicable accounting standards and regulations.
