LHH is seeking an Accounting Manager for our client in Austin. You will own inventory accounting, from valuation and costing to reserves and COGS, with a hands-on role that may grow to lead inventory accounting.

You will work closely with the Controller and external auditors during a strategic ERP transformation. The ideal candidate holds a CPA in good standing, with 6+ years in progressive accounting, and deep inventory costing and reconciliation experience in a high-volume environment.

Formación

• CPA license in good standing required
• 6+ years progressive accounting experience
• Strong hands-on inventory accounting in high-volume setting
• Deep understanding of inventory costing, reserves and subledger to GL reconciliations
• Solid month-end close, audit support and internal controls experience
• Experience with mid-market or enterprise ERP environments
• Ability to communicate with both accounting and operations teams

Responsabilidades

• Take ownership of inventory accounting including valuation, costing, reserves and COGS
• Manage inventory reconciliations between subledger and general ledger
• Research and resolve discrepancies involving physical inventory and balances
• Review cycle counts and physical inventory results and ensure proper adjustments
• Evaluate slow-moving, excess and obsolete inventory and reserves
• Review inventory-related payables and three-way-match issues
• Prepare and review inventory journal entries and reconciliations
• Participate in monthly and year-end close processes
• Provide internal control guidance and interact with external auditors on inventory tests
• Develop reporting on inventory turns, aging, margins and purchasing trends
• Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse and operations on receiving and costing issues
• Support ERP transformation as accounting SME for inventory during conversion
