The company builds a vertically integrated business through units like American Foods Group and America's Service Line. This position is vital for supporting the finance department's monthly reporting process. The Accountant will gain multi-subsidiary experience while managing inter-company accounts, overseeing accounts payable, and assisting with special projects.

What You'll Actually Do

• Accounts Payable: Enter invoices into the ERP system and generate payments via checks, ACHs, wires, and intercompany payments.
• Reconciliation: Perform routine intercompany reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Documentation: Organize and maintain accounts payable files and related documentation, including 1099s.
• General Ledger: Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries into various accounts, such as general ledger accounts.
• Reporting: Prepare special financial reports for management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

The Must-Haves

• Background: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Entry-Level with core domain knowledge in accounts payable.
• Experience: Up to two years of accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable experience, with a demonstrated aptitude for learning financial systems and prior experience contributing both individually and collaboratively on projects.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, critical thinking, organizational skills, and a strong detail orientation.
