Job summary

CECO Environmental seeks an Accountant II, Accounting Services, to manage transactional and operational accounting for assigned entities. You will apply GAAP principles, prepare timely financial reports, and support audits.

Key duties include month-, quarter-, and year-end closes, GL entries, reconciliations, and internal control testing under SOX. Requires 3+ years’ experience, strong Excel, and proactive communication. Minimal travel; office environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA encouraged.
• 3+ years of accounting experience with strong US GAAP knowledge.
• Proactive change agent with strong Excel and communication skills.
• Experience with SOX controls and internal control testing.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close per US GAAP.
• Prepare general ledger entries and reconcile accounts.
• Analyze GL fluctuations and support audits with documentation.
• Assist with SOX controls and internal control testing.
• Participate in special projects and process improvements.
