Job summary

Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) is seeking an Accountant II (entry level) to perform a full range of professional accounting duties supporting DSHA’s financial operations in Dover/Wilmington.

The role processes, reconciles, and reports financial transactions in accordance with GAAP, assists with audits, payroll, and internal controls, and provides guidance to junior staff as needed. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs full range of professional accounting activities in accordance with GAAP and DSHA policies.
• Produces detailed reconciliations of accounts, financial transactions, and supporting documentation.
• Prepares, reviews, and processes journal entries, accruals, transfers, and other accounting transactions.
• Reviews payroll-related transactions and supports payroll processing and benefit billing.
