Job summary

Avidex, a leading AV/IT integration company in Cary, NC, seeks an Accountant II to drive month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis. You will work with management, auditors, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and robust internal controls.

You will leverage ERP systems and Excel to investigate variances, support internal control assessments, and identify process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Intermediate Excel skills including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and collaboration across departments.
• CPA or equivalent certification, or active pursuit of certification, preferred.
• Knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
• BlackLine, ERP implementation, payroll, inventory, or accounts receivable accounting experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work additional hours to meet reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly close activities, including account analysis and journal entries.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and other analyses to validate account accuracy.
• Investigate account activity, variances, aged items, and discrepancies through resolution.
• Prepare financial analysis for management and external auditors.
• Respond to financial inquiries from management and internal stakeholders.
• Provide data and analysis to support internal control assessments and compliance activities.
• Identify and support opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve accounting matters.
