AAON, Inc. in Redmond, WA is seeking an Accountant II to perform professional accounting responsibilities, analyze financial data, and support timely reporting.
The role operates with greater independence and may mentor junior staff, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and ensure reliable financial statements. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and assisting audits.
The Accountant II performs professional accounting responsibilities and supports the accurate and timely preparation of financial information, reconciliations, and reporting activities. This role contributes to departmental objectives by analyzing financial data, resolving accounting issues, and ensuring compliance with established accounting principles, policies, and procedures. The position operates with greater independence than entry-level accounting roles and may provide guidance and support to less experienced team members. The Accountant II collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes, support audits, and enhance the quality and reliability of financial reporting.
Ability to apply analytical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills to accounting and financial matters. Frequent use of a computer and related office equipment. Ability to remain seated for extended periods while reviewing and analyzing financial data. Ability to review detailed information with a high degree of accuracy and concentration. Occasional lifting or carrying of files, documents, or office materials up to 20 pounds.
Perform all tasks on-site in a professional office environment. Work is primarily sedentary with regular use of office equipment. Regular interaction and collaboration with accounting, finance, operational, and business team members. No routine exposure to extreme temperatures, hazardous contaminants, moving mechanical parts, elevated work locations, or excessive noise levels. Compliance with all company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and professional work environment.

Pay Range: $71,622.00 - $87,538.00
