Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services in Boca Raton, FL is seeking an Accountant II to perform general ledger, reinsurance accounting, account analysis and compliance tasks as part of a collaborative finance team.

Responsibilities include creating recurring journal entries, assisting with month-end close, preparing reconciliations, supporting audit requests, and contributing to the statutory financial statements and state filings. Proficiency in Excel and Oracle is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business with a major in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Excellent PC skills with a strong background in Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in Oracle, Property/Casualty insurance industry, insurance accounting, or IFRS accounting is a plus.

The Accountant II will be responsible for specific tasks performed in finance which include general ledger, reinsurance, account analysis, and compliance.
