Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines, a Barrick company, seeks an Accounting/Financial Analyst at the Carlin Complex to support reporting, budgeting and forecasting. You will build financial models, analyze variances and support management with insights to improve performance.

Responsibilities include month-end close, reconciliations, IFRS/GAAP knowledge, and collaboration with project teams to drive cost control and process improvements in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; MBA preferred.
• Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and assist month-end close and audits.
• Create reconciliations and analyze variances against budgets.
• Maintain knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and company policies.
• Lead budget/forecast processes and consolidate data.
• Input financial data into models and provide insights.
• Track capital expenditures and project spend.
• Collaborate with project teams and finance customers.
• Identify process improvements and cost-control opportunities.
• Ensure safety procedures and training requirements are met.
• Support ad hoc analyses and reporting for management.
