Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines, Carlin Complex, seeks an Accounting/Financial Analyst to support reporting, budgeting, forecasts, and financial modeling. You will analyze actual expenditures, provide insights to improve performance, and assist managers and cost owners with financial planning.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to IFRS/GAAP, and a focus on safe, sustainable mining operations within a dynamic, value-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year related experience; 3–6 years for higher level.
• Strong accounting concepts and business implications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; SAP/OneStream/Xeras experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close and audits.
• Prepare account reconciliations; review costs and resolve variances.
• Maintain IFRS/GAAP knowledge and Barrick policies.
• Support budget and forecast consolidation and review.
• Input data into financial models and analyze results vs budgets.
• Create ad hoc reports and analysis for managers.
• Track capital expenditures and project spend.
• Collaborate with project teams and drive process improvements.
• Maintain strong partnerships with finance customers; ensure safety compliance.
