Perform general and technical accounting work for an assigned area or department. This position, under direct supervision, is the entry level classification in the Accountant series and is responsible for preparing grant applications, financial reports and budget documents; and performing division accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions ensuring compliance with local ordinances and state statutes.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted?: Yes
May require a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver's License
Experience with accounting work or financial analysis
Proficient in various computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite
Intermediate in Microsoft Excel
Works in an office setting with moderate noise
