What You'll Do:
- Contribute to the efficiency of the Accounting Department by participating in cross training, sharing job responsibilities, and serving as position backup for accounting staff
- Monthly Closing - Journal Entries, and other closing duties as required
- General Ledger - Account Reconciliations and analysis
- End-to-end responsibility for Accounts Receivables, proactively driving performance by monitoring aging and ensuring proper escalation towards resolution
- Support Accounting & Finance team with other projects and reports as needed
- Perform backup duties and support to the Accounts Payable clerkPerform backup duties and support for the payroll function
- Answer accounting questions by researching and interpreting data
- Assist in the gathering of support for internal and external audit requests
- Assist in corporate reporting deliverables
- Directly responsible for researching and resolving issues working in collaboration with the appropriate accounting and operations staff as required
- Track Capital Asset Purchases and record according to company policy, including depreciation schedules
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma
- Minimum 2+ Years of Experience
What Sets You Apart:
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles preferred but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook, with the ability to develop complex Excel spreadsheets
- Must be proficient in problem-solving techniques and time management skills with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills, well organized, ability to prioritize and meet assigned deadlines
- This position requires balancing priorities and making sound decisions within the established policy
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work under pressure and with multiple deadlines
- Exceptional follow-up abilities to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Positive, respectful, and professional attitude toward customers, employees, vendors, and management with a go getter attitude and a hunger to learn
