WGS Systems, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Maryland-based finance team. In this mid-level role you will handle day-to-day accounting operations, support financial analysis, and assist with government contract financial tracking.

Responsibilities include ledger maintenance, monthly close, payroll support, and audits preparation. You will collaborate with project managers to monitor costs and provide data-driven insights for management decisions.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Actively pursuing CPA or CMA designation.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar ERP software.
• Exposure to Power BI or comparable reporting tools.

Responsabilidades

• Perform daily accounting functions including general ledger maintenance and accounts payable/receivable tracking.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting schedules for financial statements.
• Support month-end close with reconciliations and GAAP-compliant records.
• Assist with payroll, sales tax filings, and regulatory reports.
• Update financial tracking reports related to government contracts and projects.
• Monitor labor hours and project expenditures for accurate cost reporting.
• Collaborate with project managers to review cost reports and labor utilization.
