Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements.
• Experience assessing and interpreting customer needs and requirements.
• Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems.
• Solves complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work full time with flexible 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) and occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close.
• Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications per GAAP.
• Prepare documentation for external and internal audits.
• Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis, with explanations and interpretations.
• Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position.
• Assist with month end close for assigned businesses or groups.
• Handle complex issues in a self-directed manner and serve as a resource to others.
