American Automobile Association in Walnut Creek, CA seeks an experienced Accountant to manage the general ledger, close cycles, and asset accounting. You will ensure GAAP compliance, leverage Workday for month-end processes, and support audits with precise records.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 5+ years of experience, and a CPA is preferred. This is a hybrid position with on-site collaboration three days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Active CPA license or progress toward certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' related experience in accounting roles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and perform month-end close in GAAP framework.
• Oversee daily transaction flows and ensure data integrity in Workday.
• Manage asset ledger, depreciation, and disposal per policy.
• Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation.
