Job summary

ShareHouse in Fargo, ND is seeking an Accountant to perform advanced technical accounting functions to support accurate financial reporting and efficient Finance operations. You will handle complex reconciliations, month-end close tasks, GL activity, insurance payments posted into the EHR, and AR billing and collections, with backup support for AP and Payroll.

This non-exempt role requires GAAP knowledge, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems; collaboration across departments is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field and two years of accounting experience; or
• Associate degree in Accounting or Finance and five years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post routine, recurring, and complex journal entries.
• Perform advanced account reconciliations, including bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
• Apply insurance payments into the EHR and reconcile to bank activity and the general ledger.
• Perform Accounts Receivable billing to clients and Recovery Living, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Serve as backup for AP and Payroll runs as needed.
• Reconcile credit card statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare audit schedules and documentation for the annual audit.
• Provide reliable attendance and adapt to required schedules.
• Participate in cross-department collaboration related to billing/EHR workflows.
