Job summary

NorthLakes Community Clinic seeks a Senior Accountant to apply GAAP principles and prepare timely financial statements while mitigating organizational risk. You will analyze financial information, prepare reports, and assist audits and budget processes under the direction of the Finance Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years related experience, preferably in a non-profit or Community Health Center.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, Epic, Qlik Sense and Vena (or equivalent budgeting/reporting platforms).
• Proficiency with Excel at a mid-to-high level.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements on a timely basis.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts.
• Prepare and submit federal financial reports on a timely basis.
• Assist in preparing Medicaid and Medicare cost reports.
• Review journal entries and payroll tax filings for accuracy.
• Assist in Payroll processing and annual budget uploads.
• Prepare monthly budget-to-actual reports for Finance Director.
